eOne nabs 'Comedown' in France

LONDON -- eOne has snapped up French rights to Menhaj Huda's horror pic "Comedown," which is lensing in London. Huda ("Kidulthood") directs the pic, which was previously acquired by Studiocanal for the U.K., from a script penned by Steven Kendall. Story follows six friends who have known each other from childhood and break into the tower block that they lived in as kids. When one of them goes missing, they soon realize that they are not alone in the building and someone in the shadows begins to hunt them down. It stars Jacob Anderson ("Chatroom"), Jessica Barden ("Hanna"), Sophie Stuckey ("The Woman in Black"), Duane Henry ("W.E."), Calum MacNab ("The Firm"), Adam Deacon ("Anuvahood") and Geoff Bell ("RocknRolla"). AV Pictures is handling international sales, while Serotonin Films' Dominic Norris and Phoenix Wiley's Gareth Wiley produce the pic. Contact Diana Lodderhose at diana.lodderhose@variety.com
